I'm 32 and never had any luck with bra fittings whatsoever..

This past weekend I went over to the mall to pick up some new bras and was asked if I wanted to be fitted, so I went for it. I think the last time I was sized, I was around 18 or so, so it's been a while. So the woman told me I weighed in at a 40D. I couldn't believe it. I've attempted to measure myself at home, and for whatever reason I end up measuring around the same, 40D - 40DD. So I told the woman, there's no way I can squeeze into a 40D, but she insists on having me try one on so I flattered her with one bra, and I swear I was just about able to get one boob in the entire bra. I'd really like to know what my bra size is, I typically buy online since it's hard finding 40G - 40H size bras to begin with. Most of my bras I fear are probably too small even at 40H, so can anyone please tell me how or why my measurements are so far off? I have tried a few different methods. under the armpit subtracted from largest measurement around chest etc, but I can't seem to get anything remotely close to a bra that actually fits and feels comfortable.

Any advice is appreciated!!!

hi genevieve, you are not alone in having this problem and many women i know have the same issue. I read somewhere that breast size can change a lot due to age, diet etc and not to assume that you are ever just one size. Also i get my bras from one place now, but finding this has been a real struggle.

Thanks Clare - It's refreshing to know that I'm not alone. In fact, looking at some of the other threads, I realize there's bustier women out there, although I rarely spot them in person. Are we just a rarity? There are certainly days where I would give anything to walk around with a smaller chest! But for now, I think I'll try and find someone who can expertly size the girls even if it costs me.

Hey Clare...I attempted to email you through the forum email mechanism but got an error message. I'm not sure if it went through or not. Did you get anything from me?

My email is terra.incognito.ss@gmail.com.

Thanks.

Hi genevieve, did manage to find somewhere to get measured? I've had to be measured again here recently.
